KPEP has provided services in Berrien County since February 2001. Located at 497 Waukonda in Benton Harbor, KPEP provides both residential and outpatient programs. The Michigan Department of Corrections parole offices are also located on site.

ROBYN SHERRICK

PROGRAM MANAGER

Robyn graduated from Indiana University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice. Robyn began her career at the Berrien KPEP facility in 2003 as a resident coordinator and quickly was promoted to case manager overseeing district court probation, female offenders, Friend of the Court and Transitional Housing. Robyn was promoted to program manager in 2012. Robyn is a member of the Niles-Buchanan Rotary Club.

Melissa Hammer

Clinical Supervisor

Melissa Hammer has worked at KPEP since 2015. She has worked as a trauma therapist and a medical social worker prior to her time at KPEP. She received her Master of Social Work from Western Michigan University. Prior to her MSW, she completed her Bachelor of Applied Arts from Central Michigan University and an Associate of Arts from Lake Michigan College. She is also a professor of sociology, teaching at Lake Michigan College. Melissa is active in her community and has been performing as a percussionist with the Southshore Concert Band since 1997 and is a board member for that organization as well.
